Pinkard Youth Institute is a nonprofit organization dedicated to educating and providing viable opportunities for your youth. We strive to make a change in the community and inspire youth in the Greater Los Angeles Counties (Greater Los Angeles–Long Beach–Anaheim), Ventura County, and Santa Barbara County— “Educating and developing future leaders”.

A Heart For Youth
"A Heart for Youth" is the Pinkard Youth Institute (PYI) annual fundraiser in February to raise funds for the three major programs sponsored and/or supported by PYI: African American Enrichment Academy at CSUCI, Summer Internship Program and Black College Tour to Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). Black College Tour 2025
April 12 - April 19, 2025
If you have a young person who is a Junior or Senior in high school, we invite them to join us for our annual Black College Tour. This year, we will be touring: Norfolk State University - ​Howard University - University of District of Columbia - Bowie State University - Coppin State University - University of Maryland Eastern Shore - Hampton University - Virginia Union - Morgan State University.
